Rodeo Mamas Corral Podcaster and digital creator to help connect rodeo women, especially rodeo mamas. "Women need other women in their life who think they are amazing. Hello!

No competition, no jealousy, no hate. Just 'I love you, I'm proud of you, I'm here for you...' energy." I'm Nikki, and I am so glad you found me! For those who don't know me, I am a breakaway roper, rodeo enthusiast and personal trainer. While I hadn't competed in several years because of a devastating pelvic injury in 2016; in 2022 I returned to the roping box and I'm absolutely LOVING the butterflies as I back into the box again. Along with being a rodeo athlete, I’m a team roper’s wife, hot walker, and barrel racing mom (who’s really hoping her cowgirls start roping and goat tying-because I know very little about barrels and I cringe every time they take a corner). I also hold the title of teacher, cook, maid, snack carrier, driver, secretary, horse doctor, drink getter, personal trainer and movement coach.
I guess you could say I have my hands in a little bit of everything. My husband can confirm that I'm one step away from the edge of the cliff of insanity.

I started movement coaching because after my injury in 2016, I was left feeling helpless, depressed and broken. Multiple doctors told me that I would never ride or rope again, and my life became incredibly miserable. Luckily for me-a new friend introduced me to restorative movement where I found healing. Along with healing, I also found more strength and balance than I've ever had before, and an increased confidence on my horse-despite not riding for almost 4 years. This lead me to hundreds of hours of research to uncover how I could help other rodeo women unlock their potential through "slightly unconventional" fitness training. And just like that-my personal training and movement coaching programs were born!

I hope that I can share helpful exercises, every day habits and other tips to help you move more efficiently, gain better balance, increase your strength and outride the competition!

This podcast started as an idea I had about giving space to rodeo moms to share their stories in the most perfectly, imperfect way.

Our life is so niche, that no one outside of rodeo understands it. Motherhood is hard, but adding rodeo to it, makes it just that much harder. I wanted to give us a space that would allow us to share and connect and help each other.

One of the things I love is getting to see the vulnerable side of life. I love sharing the moments that make me tear up, or even cry. I love seeing women who have been holding their stories close, open up and inspire others. Because you, every one of you, is a badass mama with the power to help someone else.

I'm currently looking for more guests on the podcast. I am willing to talk about ANYTHING and everything (so long as it's appropriate). Right now, some of the topics that are on my heart for one reason or another are:

-Infertility/miscarriage
-Autoimmune diseases
-Losing a spouse
-Raising a special needs child
-Difficult birth stories
-Pelvic floor dysfunction/prolapse
-Postpartum depression or anxiety

If you've experienced any of these things and want to share your story, I'd love to hear from you!

And if you've experienced one of these things and not in a place to share, please know I'm thinking about you and sending you all the love I can. 💓

LaDonna Pierce reached out to me a few weeks ago when I posted some tough topics I wanted to talk about on the podcast. I love positivity, but I also love realness, and sometimes I think we need an outlet to discuss the hard things such as loss, death, divorce, injury, mental health issues, regret, etc.

LaDonna was so gracious and agreed to talk about her divorce and coparenting. We "met" last week, and I could have listened to her stories all day!

Her episode is now on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/rodeo-mamas-corral/id6789374167

and Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6DRZiIBGrWIhD3n8cZvMvT?si=dC9XRg39R0ineq7wi4LV9g

And because I couldn't leave her story at just an hour long, a BONUS episode will be released on Sunday!

When you're recording a podcast, have ADHD, and the cat wants to be SEEN! LOL

"She's going to do what she's going to do." A statement made by LaDonna Pierce about herself explaining how her parents felt about her decisions, but applies to the cat now! 🤣

LaDonna's podcast episode will be released this Friday, October 9th on Apple and Spotify.

Hey everyone!

My name is Nikki.

I am the face behind this page, the podcast and the absolute chaos around here. I haven't introduced myself in a while and though that today, my birthday, would be a good day to do it.

Here are some random things about me:

-I absolutely hate wearing a cowboy hat. Despite competing in rodeos for decades, I didn't even own a hat for 15 years. How? I wear a helmet. Yes, I'm made fun of. No, I don't care what you think about it.

-I have ADHD, anxiety and have the attention span of a squirrel. Actually, the squirrel might have me beat.

-I love rodeo, but I love the people, their stories and how they make me feel more.

-Aside from rodeo and roping calves my favorite thing is spending time in the kitchen baking and canning whatever my heart desires. I also have almost 2 gallons of homemade vanilla brewing from 6 different countries and varieties of vanilla beans.

-I like to talk. A LOT. If you ever see me in the grocery store and don't want to be stuck there for 45 minutes-pretend you didn't see me and run the other way. Never make eye contact.

-I am laid back, chill and ready to go with the flow until I'm not. And then the switch is almost immediate-and in that case-LOOK OUT!

-I am also NOT a morning person. If you ever see me in the morning, and I look like I'm ready to fight with a raccoon, turn the other way and remember that I have a husband who has to wake up to that every single morning.

-I have some big dreams, and still not sure how I'm going to get there but I know I'm meant to be in the rodeo community; helping, sharing and doing what I love.

This week’s episode is up!

Nanci Bean Carlton is always one of my favorites to talk to. She has mom experience from all sides and always has something inspiring to say. If you’ve met her kids-you’ve seen just how talented and determined they are and I don’t believe that’s by chance.

Her dedication to motherhood is evidenced every day through her children’s success, the love of their talents, and her own little farm, complete with a white picket fence, where she finds peace.

Go take a listen on Apple or Spotify!

Mamas!

I am looking for podcast guests who would be willing to share their stories and talk about the following:

-infertility
-postpartum depression
-pelvic floor dysfunction
-miscarriage/loss
-divorce/separation
-loss of a parent

These are heavy topics, but ones that are widespread and not well talked about. My goal here is to share the good along with the bad, and help others find a safe space and know they aren’t alone. 💕
