We are still smiling from all the fun we had at Cow Pie Bingo this weekend!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. From our incredible sponsors and prize donors, to the volunteers who worked behind the scenes, to every family and community member who came out to join us—we are so grateful.

It was a joy to see so many people gathered together, enjoying good food, cheering each other on, trying their luck at the raffles, and making memories. The excitement around the cow pie, the dunk tank, and all the activities throughout the day made for a fantastic event.

Events like this are a lot of work, but they're also a wonderful reminder of how blessed we are by this community. Your support, generosity, and enthusiasm mean so much to our school.

Tomorrow is the big day—the 100th Day of School! 🎉

For 100 days, our students have practiced diligence, grown in knowledge, memorized Scripture, sharpened their skills, and built friendships. Now they’ll celebrate by presenting projects they’ve thoughtfully prepared.

All students, PreK through 10th grade, will participate, and the topics are just as unique as they are.

We are so thankful for 100 days of faithfulness and growth at AGA 💙

If you’ve ever dropped your child off in preschool at AGA, you know there’s something special about Mrs. Herring’s classroom.

It’s calm, joyful, and full of little voices learning big truths.

We asked her a few questions so you could hear directly from her heart:

⭐ What do you love most about teaching preschool?

"There are so many reasons why I love teaching preschool, I can’t just pick one. I love the “aha” moments in their eyes and voices when something clicks or they discover something new. I love when they discover confidence and joy in the little things of life. I love making learning feel like an adventure for them.

Preschoolers are so much more capable than we realize. There is so much potential to be unlocked in each of them, and I love and appreciate the opportunity to play a role in who they are becoming."

⭐ What do you hope your students remember years from now?

"I hope they remember they are loved, worthy, and a child of God. I am so thankful to work in a role where we get to openly talk about God and acknowledge Him as our Creator. He made us who we are, and He loves us unconditionally. I pray they always remember the simple truth that Jesus loves them."

⭐ What does a “good day” in preschool look like?

"A good day is when there is laughter that fills the room, curious questions, trying again after frustration, forgiving one another, using our words, and doing our best. Above all, a “good day” in preschool isn’t perfection–it’s progress. If we always give our best, we will get better!

A good day is when one of my students handled a situation better than they would have the day before, counted higher, or prayed to God to help them when they were stuck. Each student is an individual, and I want them to do better and be better than when they first walked in my door."

⭐ Favorite children’s book to read aloud?

"My favorite children’s book to read aloud is The Book with No Pictures. It may sound silly that my favorite book to read to preschoolers is a book with no pictures as it says in the title.

However, if you have ever read the book, you would understand why. It is silly and fun! It is so fun to see their faces, which are typically upset and unpleasant, when I tell them I am reading a book with no pictures.

After I am done, they are begging for me to read the book over and over. It is a great opportunity to teach them to try new things, even when they are hesitant. They may just like whatever it is, after all."

⭐ What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?

"I have one beautiful, sassy daughter! Most people already know this, but I love talking about her every chance I get! She is the light of my husband’s and my world!

I love camp! I have been blessed to serve at Cathedral Pines camp for many years as a director and cabin leader!

My husband and I love fixing up old cars! When I say my husband and I love fixing up cars, I mean that he fixes cars, and I make a great supervisor that has learned a few things along the way!"

✨ Verse of the Week ✨

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”

At AGA, we believe the people our children walk with matter deeply. Friendships, mentors, teachers, and community all shape the hearts and minds of our students.

We are intentional about cultivating a culture where wisdom is pursued, character is strengthened, and Christ is honored. When our students walk with the wise, they grow in discernment, integrity, and truth.

Today our halls were filled with smiles, kindness, and lots of sweet surprises!

Valentine grams from our wonderful AGA parents were delivered by Mrs. Ott, Mrs. Cathy, and Mrs. Pertt, spreading encouragement and joy to students across campus. There’s something so special about watching little faces light up when they receive a thoughtful note!

Students also enjoyed celebrating in their classrooms, exchanging valentines with friends, and practicing kindness, gratitude, and fellowship. It was a beautiful reminder that love is shown not just in big gestures, but in simple acts of thoughtfulness.

We are so thankful for a community that pours into our students in meaningful ways ❤️

✨ Staff Spotlight ✨

We’re excited to launch a new series where we introduce the incredible faculty and staff who make Amazing Grace Academy so special.

First up—our Headmaster, Christian Ott.

At AGA, our mission is rooted in Truth, Virtue, and Service, and Mrs. Ott leads with a deep commitment to Christ-centered, classical education.

We asked her a few questions so you can get to know her heart behind the leadership:

📚 What excites you most about AGA’s mission and vision?
"Simply put, it is an education that works. When I started teaching my own children with the Classical Christian pedagogy, I felt like I was relearning bits and pieces of my own education that never sank in. It is an education that acknowledges God as the creator and center of all learning, which was always missing from my public school environment.

I want all of our students to know that God has created beauty and that it draws us towards the truth. In the modern age, many do not believe the world is filled with divine meaning and purpose; they believe it operates only according to laws. We are offering our students a fundamentally different approach, one that offers divine meaning and purpose and helps us to conform our lives to the image of our creator.”

🎓 How does a Classical, Christ-centered education prepare students beyond the classroom?
“A Classical, Christ-centered education provides students with an eternal compass; they come to know who God is and why they believe in God.

John Milton defined it: "The end of learning is to repair the ruins of our first parents by regaining to know God aright and out of that knowledge to love Him, to imitate Him, to be like Him..."

If we can be like God and imitate Him, our students will be loving husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, and prepared for their future careers. If each generation can get a little better than the one before, by imitating Him, who knows how many generations that will affect!”

⏰ Favorite part of the school day?
“Greeting students in the morning before they head to class. I love to see their smiles. I feel like I am sending them off to be good stewards to those around them!"

📖 Scripture that encourages her in leadership:
"I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." —Isaiah 43:19

🌎 Something students might be surprised to know:
• School was really hard for me, but I loved every minute of it.
• I have completed live nerve agent training three times.
• I’ve visited 34 states!

We are grateful for leadership that keeps AGA anchored in Christ and boldly looking ahead. 💙
