But one of the greatest lessons I learned from the Andean despacho is something very different.

Before asking, we give.

We offer gratitude.

We acknowledge the Earth.

The mountains.🏔

The waters.

Our ancestors.

And all the forces that make our lives possible.

The offering becomes an act of reciprocity.✨

Today I stood inside the Cave of Bethlehem in southern France.

There was something deeply symbolic about standing within the darkness of the cave, looking toward the light outside.

Bethlehem is a name we associate with birth—and here, surrounded by stone and held within the Earth, I found myself reflecting on the many times we are asked to be born again in our own lives.

Not physically, but spiritually.

We enter periods when the path becomes dark or uncertain. We turn inward. Something old begins to fall away, while something new is quietly forming.

And then, when the time is right, we step toward the light.

Perhaps rebirth is not about becoming someone new at all.

Perhaps it is about emerging as more of who we have always been.

Today, the Earth reminded me that the darkness and the light are not opposites.

They are both part of the same journey. ✨
