The day here in Japan started as usual I was up at 4:30 and off to take pictures when I read on my phone about the tragedy in Pittsburgh. I shortly thereafter received a text from my daughter Jaclyn that one of the victims was my cousin Danny Stein, a kind and wonderful family man. It’s sometimes important to put a face with the named victims of senseless hate crimes and gun violence in our country. Here is Danny at my daughter Alexa’s wedding dancing with his wife just 1 year ago, and 3 years ago with the family at Jaclyn's wedding. To anyone who cannot tolerate these crimes please speak out! I will continue taking pictures tomorrow in his honor and our prayers go out to Sharyn and all his family. Baruch Dayan Ha'Emet.
