Oklahoma doesn’t have a revenue problem. It has a priority problem.
Budgets are about choices — and Oklahoma’s choices too often leave everyday people behind.

Every budget is a reflection of values.
Oklahoma has the resources to build strong schools, healthy communities, reliable infrastructure, and an economy that works for everyone. The question is whether our policy choices actually prioritize those things.
And right now, too many Oklahomans are being left behind. 📉
Oklahoma must raise the minimum wage. Too many hardworking Oklahomans still struggle to afford food, housing, and child care — even while working full-time jobs.
A higher minimum wage would help families achieve greater financial stability, reduce reliance on public assistance programs, and put more money back into local economies.
It’s time to raise the wage floor in Oklahoma.
Mental health is about more than reducing stigma and encouraging people to seek help. Housing, wages, health care, and schools all shape mental health outcomes too.
Policy shapes whether people can access stability, support, and care — and that matters for mental health.

📣 Oklahoma Policy Institute is hiring for two important positions:
• Administrative & Office Coordinator
• Donor Stewardship & Events Coordinator
As Shiloh shares in this video, operations and development work are essential to making our mission possible. These roles help keep the organization running smoothly and support the work we do every day for Oklahomans across the state. 💙
If you can see yourself in either role, we’d love for you to apply today. Learn more at the link below.

Mental health is about more than speaking up and seeking help. It’s also about housing, fair wages, schools, and health care.
The conditions people live in shape mental health outcomes — and policy shapes those conditions.
