The health benefits of Tai Chi are being documented in studies around world.

Tai Chi has been shown to improve balance, and have a positive effect on cardiovascular health, blood pressure, stress management, chronic pain, and arthritis. Thomas Academy Tai Chi Kung Fu teaches only highest quality traditional Tai Chi Chuan, Kung Fu, and other Chinese martial arts and weapons to all ages: kids and adults alike!

Class Schedule Update: Saturday Tai Chi is taking a short summer break and will resume in the fall.

Take this time to rest, spend time with family, and enjoy the season. Our instructors will be doing the same.

Group Tai Chi classes continue Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm, and private lesson time slots are available.

Kung Fu will remain on the regular schedule.

CLASS CANCELLED:
Due to current and expected severe conditions, Thomas Academy Martial Arts will be CLOSED and classes are cancelled for tomorrow, Saturday, January 24. We'll make decisions next week day by day.

Stay safe and warm and *please* stay inside if you can! Projected high *without* the wind chill is 14°F/-10°C.

Watch some LOTR or Ken Burns docs (or your entertainment of choice) and hunker down!

Frostbite is a thing, y'all, and most of us don't have the gear for this! If you have the gear, and must go out, bundle up!

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
The instructors and students of Thomas Academy wish you and yours a happy Hanukkah (sorry, that one’s late!), a Merry Christmas, a happy Kwanzaa, and a very Happy New Year! (If I’ve missed your holiday, comment below, and let me know!)

Thomas Academy will be closed from Wednesday, 24 December, through Friday, 2 January, EXCEPT:

Tai Chi class WILL meet on Tuesday, 30 December!

REMEMBER: If you are a paid student in December, you may attend extra classes during January, to make up the canceled classes! You can even try kung fu if you want! All scheduled regular group classes are always valid for make up!
