We are so proud of our preschool class and the wonderful pizza party we shared together! From decorating their chef hats, to pretending to make thier own pizza slices, to making their very own pizzas for lunch, every child was fully engaged and excited to be part of the experience. The children especially loved it because we are working on the letter P for pizza this week, and they have been working so hard knowing the pizza party was part of our letter P celebration. It was such a joy watching their creativity, teamwork, and confidence shine throughout the day.

February moments with DLA. Throughout the month, we enjoyed many hands-on activities, learning experiences, and our fun Valentine’s celebration together. We did our best to capture as many pictures as possible, but as you can imagine, it was a little challenging getting everyone to cooperate on such an exciting day 😊. We hope you enjoy these sweet snapshots of the fun, laughter, and learning we shared all month long.

For 13 years, Michael Scales III has been part of our DLA family. Watching him grow into the young man he is today has been one of our greatest joys.

Michael is a graduate of Destiny Learning Academy’s Kindergarten program, and seeing how far he has come since those early years fills us with so much pride.

🏆 Most recently, his show choir earned 1st Place at the Trochella Show Choir Competition, a well-deserved win!

Michael is not only talented, but dedicated and disciplined as well. He is an A/B student, enrolled in honors classes, and consistently shows up with focus, commitment, and a strong work ethic, both in the classroom and beyond.

But what truly sets Michael apart isn’t just his talent or achievements…it’s his heart.

Even though Michael has long since outgrown our childcare program, he still comes back to visit. And every time he does, he brings love, gratitude, and inspiration with him. He pours into our children and even our staff with words of motivation, encouragement, and affirmations, reminding them that they are capable, valued, and worthy of big dreams.

Through Stars on Stage, Michael continues to lead with that same heart, mentoring and performing alongside children with neurodivergence and mixed abilities, helping them shine in musical theater while celebrating inclusivity, acceptance, connection, and community.

Michael doesn’t just walk into a room, he uplifts it.

We are beyond proud of you, Michael. Thank you for never forgetting where you came from, for always giving back, and for using your gifts to lift others as you rise. You will always be part of our family. 🌟💙

When will we get it right for our babies!

The kids had an amazing time exploring and learning during their science experiment dissecting owl pellets. They were fully engaged and fascinated by the process, excited to discover tiny bones and identify what the owl had eaten. It was not only educational but also incredibly fun, sparking their curiosity and encouraging teamwork as they compared their findings. The hands-on experience brought science to life and created lasting memories of learning through discovery and excitement.
