Senior AmeriCorps Members Bri and Keira did an incredible job sharing about their service with City Year at the QuikTrip (QT) Tulsa Area United Way Partner Agency Fair!

They enthusiastically told QuikTrip employees how they support students and schools every day while building the professional skills and experience that will help them achieve their career goals after service. As a proud United Way partner agency, we were honored when our friends at QuikTrip invited us to participate and share a little about our service to students.

We're grateful for partners like United Way and QuikTrip who help fuel our work and strengthen opportunities for students across Tulsa. 💛❤️

Ubuntu: I am because we are. My humanity is tied to yours.
This week, our newest members took part in their first Ubuntu walks, a City Year tradition rooted in connection, listening, and shared humanity.
As they walked side by side, AmeriCorps members shared their stories, reflected on the experiences that have shaped them and brought them to service with City Year, and learned more about what matters most to one another. These conversations help build the trust, empathy, and sense of community that will carry them through a year of service together.
Because when we take the time to understand one another, we become stronger together.
