Happy Father's Day!

Well life goes on, doesn't it? It has been a couple weeks since I received the decision from a three-judge panel who went to great length to defend the failure of the Superior Court of California to protect the best interest of my child according to their own rules.

No mention of what I might have done or not done that would provide a legal justification for removing the children (that was then, two are adults by now) from my custody.

What a trip. All I can say is I have been flabbergasted. The good news is I have developed a comprehensive program to help families in similar situations that I never would have come up with if I hadn't been facing this. And one of these days, I may share the details in book form with a chapter devoted to my surreal sojourn among the pseudo-sovereign citizens with United Parents for Children. It's been a seriously wild ride.

For now, here I am facing West. On my balcony, looking towards the camera for a moment actually before looking toward the Sun that appears to be on the horizon between where I am on the banks of the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma and where my children are in Modesto, California. Modesto, home of the community hero Judge Distaso - lead prosecutor in the trial of Scott Peterson for the murder of his pregnant wife Lacy the year my oldest was born. And most recently the judge in my family law case.

I updated the info about my work and what I am doing on my website today, so I will share this with you here. Please do share and let me know if there is anyone you know who could use the help!

Nathan Johnston-Chiszar is an internationally certified coach and founder of the Interaction Focused Family Institute. An ordained interfaith minister, his approach is based on the metaphysical worldview of his Cherokee ancestors, and decades of experience in the fields of Early Childhood Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. He holds a Master’s degree in Human Behavior from City University of Seattle, and a Doctorate in Education from California State University, Stanislaus.

Beginning in the 1990’s, Nathan worked for the US Department of Defense to develop reunion and reintegration programs for military families experiencing post-deployment conflict on three continents. He now works with parents to realize the hope of their ancestors and create generational wealth and healing after family trauma, separation, and divorce.

Nathan learned the hard way how income inequality allows courts to profit from separating children from their parents.

During the pandemic, his own children were separated from him for 500 days when a celebrity judge in California cited "COVID" as an explanation for failing to follow the standard timeline for custody mediation. The judge set a new precedent for families of gender creative children by removing custody from a fit and affectionally available parent on the basis of the mother's claim she was "flabbergasted" when the father expressed concerns over signs of possible child abuse.

At the hearing, when Nathan objected to the state's failure to exercise due diligence in protecting the best interest of the child in coordination with Child Protective Services, the judge paused the proceeding to reply "...off the record, I can do whatever I want."

Borrowing and spending nearly a quarter of a million dollars to fight for his children, Nathan learned exactly what families must do to protect their children from becoming collateral damage in the culture war being waged in our family courts.

Parents in the family court system are generally treated worse than suspected criminals with rights to due process under the US Constitution. This is an 80 billion dollar a year industry subsidized by tax-dollars to generate more revenue for the government than all other areas of law combined. Without measures to safeguard constitutional rights, judges act as private contractors to procure matching funds from the federal government for enforcement of child support. This means that in some cases, local governments receive more funds for child support than children do. There is an incentive for bad actors to award custody and child support to a lower wage household in order earn additional funding for their federal contract for child support enforcement.

Nathan founded the Interaction Focused Family Institute for parents to connect with their children and ensure their success in the most challenging circumstances. Parents hire him to save valuable time and energy when it matters most, and ensure a legacy of pride and prosperity for the rising generation.

Nathan is an independent advocate for the child in high-conflict divorce proceedings, and parents sign a contract to indicate they acknowledge his service is provided in the best of interest of the child, and not one or the other parent. He provides access to affordable legal counsel at reduced rates in all 50 states and Canada, but he is not a lawyer. His sole focus is to support the child and assist the parents in creating the conditions for their child's success using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Once the child is protected and both parents are satisfied with the result, Nathan works with families to recover from the financial cost of divorce. By cutting out the state as the middleman for payment of child support, they are able to increase the amount given and received for their child without reducing cash flow, and eliminate dependency on predatory lending.

Instead of the “one-size-fits all” approach typical of many family court system interventions, parents hire Nathan to implement his proprietary Interaction Focused® Family PRIIDE system, secure their financial future, and protect their child’s unique cultural and spiritual identity with a customized family legacy solution - without years of therapy.

Left Side, Right Side. Red Side, Blue Side.

Who is doing The Work?

Check this out. We may be friends on Facebook but even in real life, we don't know who is a real friend without the ability to forgive perceived slights, or if we aren't interested in seeing things from other people's perspective.

To be a real friend, we have to practice harmlessness.

That means when we must avoid getting between our friendlies and what they perceive to be the enemy.

"Friendlies" are what we call people who we think are there to help us, whose weapons are not under control.

There is a war going on, and the battleground is thick with smoke. We gotta be careful with each other - if we don't want to get our eyes poked out. To take care of each other, we gotta look both ways.

Did you know that the US treasury printed 40% of all the money that has ever been made in just a few months during the pandemic? Do you think this has anything to do with the inflation? You bet!

Have you worked hard for decades to sock away money in retirement but you worry about losing 50% of your retirement the next time the market tanks?

Or maybe you have a bunch of debt, or maybe you want to be paid up with your taxes for life, and protect your money so that you don't have to pay taxes on retirement income....

Well here's great news. In the past few years I have been moving in some international entrepreneurial circles where I met a meat and potatoes brother from Idaho who helped me eliminate 6 figures in debt in less than 30 days after he showed me this strategy.

He has the know-how and perhaps even better yet the technology to make it super simple to change everything about your financial outlook - Jason Nightingale is a banking and financial educator who lost his business in a fire in 2016 and when the bank wouldn't loan him money to rebuild he figured out an even better idea. Using this system, he paid off a 14 year-mortgage in 30 months and learned the principle that "it is not what you own but how you own it" that will make all the difference for your financial future.

And tomorrow, you are invited to join us for a call where he will explain how to reach your financial goals in less time than you might imagine is possible - using MATH!

I'll drop the flyer in the chat!

🎯 **Unlocking the Relationship Between Faith and Finances** 💡

There many of us those among us who might perceive faith and finances as two different realms, each holding its own set of beliefs and practices. Yet, the synergy between these concepts is pivotal, especially when it comes to family prosperity and personal growth.🏡💼

Faith provides a strong foundation for decision-making, influencing how we handle money with purpose and integrity.

When families place their trust in principles, they’re equipped to make sound financial decisions driven by ethical considerations.

Imagine budgeting not just as a task, but as a declaration of your values and aspirations! 🍃

Taking this mindful approach allows families to align their spending and saving habits with their long-term goals. Whether it's saving for your child’s education or planning a financially secure retirement, faith-driven financial decisions are often more steadfast and impactful.

Secondly, there is incredible power hidden within each of us—gifts that, when unlocked, can ripple outwards to help others access their resources. Whether you are recently married or have questions about building a new family identity after separation or divorce, what if there was a way for you to protect your child’s future, eliminate debt, and protect your retirement from taxes at the same time?

During the pandemic, my family was flabbergasted in family court. Everyone was flabbergasted. Mom told the judge she was flabbergasted that I expressed concern for our children’s safety. When the judge signed the order for custody without point of fact to demonstrate a valid legal claim, and without specifying a cause for the action, I was more flabbergasted than anyone.

Hearing date after hearing date, the judge would not hear our case. It took 500 days until our case was heard. Due to COVID, there weren't enough mediators available, and mediation between the parties was required by law before we could be heard by a judge.

Prior to being flabbergasted, our family had no debt. By the time things got sorted out 3 years later, our debt was in the multiple six figures. This was not the retirement I had planned for!

All those years ago, when Generation X first learned that their social security income would not be enough to live on in retirement, I don’t remember ever hearing about what to do instead. It wasn’t until after being flabbergasted in the court system that I started learning the necessary steps. My old way of doing things was no match for the financial trouble I was facing.

Now the good news. Throughout this process, I became familiar with a profoundly simple system for building wealth I never would have known about otherwise. And there has never been a better time to protect your family from taxes and loss of income after divorce! Before you file for social security and agree to pay more taxes than you have to, call me first! There are things you can still do to retire tax-free.

If you are preparing for custody mediation, wouldn’t it make sense to follow a system to protect your time with your kids and protect your cash flow at the same time? Whatever your goals are for your family, a tax-free retirement plan that will allow you to earn interest on every dollar - and that is going to help you focus on having better relationships, and better quality of life with your children.

Let’s do whatever we can to move your family forward, and keep your family and your money safe from flabbergasting in the court system. If there was a way to increase your cash flow without the risk of running out of income in retirement, wouldn’t you want to hear about it?

Mother's Day is an opportunity to foster a deeper connection with our children. It's a time to revel in laughter, to share stories, and to build memories that stand the testament of time. Beyond that, it is an opportunity to strengthen relationships between co-parents.

Navigating the intricacies of co-parenting can often feel like sailing through uncharted waters. Yet, agreeing on what's best for our child ensures they have the essential parenting time with both parents, making the most of child support, both emotional and financial. It's about creating a harmonious environment where our kids can thrive, understanding that the love from both parents is unending, no matter the circumstances.

Initiatives like shared calendars or scheduled catch-ups can work wonders in managing expectations and keeping both parents informed and involved in their child’s life.

Flexibility is key. Life is unpredictable - plans change, emergencies happen, and different opportunities come up. Approaching these situations with a spirit of cooperation and understanding can significantly impact our child's emotional health. It teaches them resilience, adaptability, and most importantly, shows them that their parents can work together for their sake.

The ultimate goal is to foster a nurturing environment filled with love, respect, and mutual understanding. It's about ensuring that every decision taken places the child's best interest at heart, providing them with a stable, supportive foundation. Celebrating moments like Mother's Day together or separately yet inclusively, can reinforce the unity within diversity, showing our kids the strength of familial bonds despite the living arrangements.

On this Mother's Day, let's focus on what matters most, the shared love and commitment we have towards raising happy, confident, and loved children, navigating the challenges of co-parenting with a blend of tenacity and tenderness. Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms, step-moms, bonud moms, and grandmoms out there!
