We love celebrating team members who never stop growing! Today, we’re shining a light on the wonderful Dasha.
​She’s been part of the GWP family since 2020, and though she’s transitioned to part-time, we are so grateful for her continued dedication. We love watching her balance her passion for early childhood education with her exciting new journey into healthcare!

Hello, my name is Dasha. I started my childcare journey here, at GWP in 2020.
My favorite part of my job is all of the snuggles and bonding with the little ones!
When not in the classroom, I love playing and watching soccer with my two sons and husband.

Hello!
I am a Lead Teacher in our Caterpillar classes, and I love working with all of our youngest students. I pour my heart into creating a joyful and inspiring space for little ones. I truly believe that teaching is a wonderful blessing, and nothing brings me more happiness than seeing the wonder and excitement in a child's eyes as they learn and grow.

My classroom is filled with laughter and exploration, and I love bringing joy into every lesson. Outside of school, I'm a proud mom to three amazing boys and love spending time with my family. I also cherish moments with my fiancé, Seth, and our sweet French bulldogs!

Sarah has been a vital part of the GWP team, and our Red Butterflies adore her!❤️

Hello, I'm Sarah! I joined the Growing with Pride family in August 2021, and I'm super proud to be the Red Butterfly Lead Teacher. I've got over 14 years of experience in childcare, and I just love creating a nurturing space where little ones feel safe to explore and grow.

When I'm not in the classroom, you'll usually find me soaking up the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with my husband and our sweet daughter, Harper. We love going on family adventures with our two dogs!

A Special Teacher Spotlight ✨: This week we are honoring Lorinda, the woman who started it all ❤️.

Today, we honor the birthday of a woman whose heart was the very foundation of this community. Though we lost Lorinda in September 2022 after her courageous battle with cancer, her spirit remains a constant presence in every classroom and every laugh we hear. Lorinda deeply believed that "childhood is such a short and magical time," and she felt truly honored to spend so many years being a part of that journey for countless children. Her life’s work was dedicated to developing a safe, loving environment where children could learn, love, and laugh freely.

Lorinda’s vision went beyond traditional childcare; she sought to staff her program with wonderful and gifted people who shared her passion, ultimately creating an extended family network for the families she cared for. Today, her legacy lives on through her daughter, April, who strives every day to continue her mother’s mission of providing our community with high-quality, heartfelt care. We celebrate Lorinda today by carrying that mission forward, keeping her memory alive in the safe and joyful space she worked so hard to build.

We celebrated our awesome PreK teacher, Cheryl, on Monday for her 14-year anniversary at Growing with Pride! She's been a huge part of our program and has helped hundreds of students start their educational journey, and we can't thank her enough for everything she does!!

Teacher Spotlight✨️: Teacher Kenzie!
Kenzie is our Preschool Program manager as well as our Preschool teacher in the Orange Class! Shes an integral part of our school and has been an incredible teacher for all our 3 yr olds!❤️

Hello, my name is MacKenzie!
Although my students call me Ms. Kenzie, I am the Growing with Pride Preschool Program manager and the preschool teacher in the Orange Butterfly classroom. I became a part of the Growing with Pride team in April 2021, following my graduation from Oregon State University with a degree in Early Childhood Development. (Go Beavers! 🧡) I am also currently on Step 10 of the Oregon Registry and am dedicated to always continuing my own learning to best help my students!

My favorite aspect of being a preschool teacher is seeing the daily breakthroughs in the classroom. I live for the high-fives and the "I did it!" moments. Seeing my students grow in confidence is the best reward a teacher could ask for!

Hello, I'm Lori!
I joined the Growing with Pride family in December 2022, and it has been a joy to grow alongside this community. My journey here began in the Purple (Infant) and Yellow (10–20 month) rooms, where I specialized in nurturing our tiniest learners and building vital connections with their families. While you will still often see me in the infant room, I am excited to now serve as the Assistant Director! I am passionate about using my classroom experience to support our entire center, and my favorite part of this work is watching our children grow into incredible humans.

When I’m not at the center, I’m usually spending time with family. My happy place is the beach, but when I’m at home, you’ll likely find me reading or baking!
