The Exploring Creativity and Confidence therapy group session experience is a hands-on opportunity for youth to build a positive identity, gain confidence, and practice constructive communication skills. They will have the chance to experiment with art therapy, poetry, playwriting, and storytelling. Participants will use different modalities like physical theatre, sound/music, and movement as well as elements of Psychodrama, Narradrama, and Mindfulness. They will learn creative writing skills and will learn how to identify their feelings more easily. Participants will maintain a reflection writing/drawing junk journal over the course of the summer camp as well. It is recommended that participants commit to all five sessions.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend in Tucson?
Here are a few family-friendly ideas worth checking out:
Head to Sabino Canyon early for a tram ride through the Santa Catalinas before it gets warm. The Sabino Canyon Crawler makes nine stops through the canyon so little ones can get out and explore without a big hike commitment.
If you want something downtown on Saturday evening, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra is playing the Star Wars score live while the film screens at the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall. A pretty magical experience for kids who love the movies.
And if you need an afternoon escape from the heat, Children’s Museum Tucson is right downtown, open this weekend, and full of interactive exhibits built for kids up to age 10.
Tucson always has something going on. Sometimes all it takes is one good morning outside and a little plan to make the weekend feel special.
What are your kids asking to do this weekend?
