Congratulations to SSA 9th grader Eithan Moss, who earned 🥉 3rd Place at Nationals for his engineering design, "The Cooling Box"!

Representing Arizona and Sonoran Science Academy on the national stage, Eithan showed everyone what is possible when curiosity, innovation, and perseverance come together.

A special thank you to the Moss family for supporting his journey every step of the way. Super shoutout to his mentor Ms. Cotto for her guidance along his journey!

🔬⚙️ 1.5 Weeks of STEM Fun! ⚙️🔬

Our K–5 STEM campers have been busy inventing, engineering, experimenting, and creating! From building and designing in Inventors & Engineers Week to making volcanoes, slime, tornadoes, and more during Crazy Science Lab Week, students have been learning through hands-on discovery every day.

We can't wait to see what they create next!

Say hello to Eithan from Sonoran Science Academy – Tucson, an 8th grade innovator inspired by the genius of nature! 💡

He created The Cooling Box Charge — a passive cooling system inspired by termite mounds that uses natural airflow and a solar chimney to move hot air out and keep cooler air inside without electricity. ☀️🌬️

That means cooling systems that could work with less energy, lower costs, and more sustainable design principles inspired by the natural world itself.

Sometimes the smartest innovations come from paying attention to how nature already solves problems. 🐜

280+ POUNDS 🦅🏗️

Our Spring Engineering Challenge brought the entire MS/HS campus together through teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and STEM innovation.

Homerooms competed to design and engineer bridges capable of holding maximum weight, and the winning bridge held over 280 pounds!

This is what happens when collaboration, competition, STEM culture, and school pride come together. This is how great schools finish a school year.

One chapter closes. Another begins 🦅

Last night we celebrated an incredible group of students at our 8th Grade Promotion. This class brought leadership, growth, resilience, memories, and heart to our campus every single day.

The future is bright for these Eagles as they begin their high school journey.

What a special day celebrating our Kindergarten and 5th Grade Promotions! 🌟

Our kindergarteners are ready for first grade, and our 5th graders are officially moving on to middle school. We are so proud of all they have accomplished this year!
