We invite you to join an upcoming AzAER Town Hall Meeting as we begin the important work of reconnecting and rebuilding our statewide network of vision professionals.

This open meeting is being hosted by AER National and will provide an opportunity to come together, reflect on where we are as a professional community, and begin shaping what comes next for AzAER.

We welcome topics relevant to professionals in all areas of our field, including adult rehabilitation specialists, orientation and mobility instructors, low vision therapists, assistive technology instructors, teachers of students with visual impairments, early intervention service providers, parents and families, general and special educators who serve children with visual impairments, deafblind practitioners, etc.

Consider co-presenting with a colleague or offering a hands-on demonstration. Arizona AER professionals value your knowledge and expertise.

All proposals must be submitted no later than October 4th. We look forward to reviewing your submissions.

Wow! That's a wrap for Arizona AER's 2023 Fall Conference. 100 participants from across Arizona attended sessions on Assistive Technology, Orientation and Mobility, and Teaching students with Visual Impairment. We are indebted to SAAVI Services for the Blind in Tucson, who were gracious and amazing hosts for our conference and its participants. Below are just a few photos from Thursday and Friday's events. The Conference Committee thanks all the knowledgeable presenters, volunteers, and staff who made this conference possible.

Our 2023 Fall Conference registration is now open. We have a diverse and exciting roundup of presenters and topics this November 16th and 17th in Tucson. Thank you SAAVI Services for the Blind for hosting us. We look forward to seeing everyone next month as we come together around the theme of BLAZING TRAILS, SUPPORTING INDEPENDENCE.
