🪷 Half Lotus Pose (Ardha Padmasana) 🪷
AKA: “I’m calm, but my foot is working through some things.”
This pose may look serene, but behind the scenes it’s doing some serious magic ✨
Why Half Lotus deserves a slow clap:
✔️ Gently opens hips and knees (goodbye, chair-life stiffness)
✔️ Improves posture so you can sit like the grounded, regal human you are
✔️ Boosts circulation in the legs (hello, tingly enlightenment)
✔️ Calms the nervous system and sharpens focus 🧠
✔️ Preps the body for meditation without forcing full pretzel mode
Pro tip: If your knee says “absolutely not,” listen. Props are wisdom, not weakness 🙏

Balance isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence.
Strong legs, open heart, grounded breath. 🌵💙
How to do this pose:
Balance on one leg
The other leg is extended forward
Hold the lifted foot with the opposite side hand (grab the calf, put fingers around big toe or just reach for it!)
The opposite arm is extended out for balance
The torso is slightly turned and the free arm is open.
This pose is often taught as a balance variation of Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana.
Why do this pose? ✨ Common benefits:
Improves balance and focus
Strengthens the standing leg and core
Stretches hamstrings and hips
