Our 6th annual run/walk for awareness is this Saturday and we are proud to partner with and announce Verna Volker, founder and Executive Director of Native Women Run as the keynote speaker!

We will be collecting physical donations for Madres Buscadoras de Sonora at this event. See flier. Material donations can be brought to the run and will be transported to the organization.

5th Annual MMIP Awareness Symposium:
Date: Monday May 4th
Time: 8am-500pm, lunch (Indigenous food) provided free! 
Location: HSIB-Health Sciences Innovation Building
Details: Speaker details TBA but there will be a decompression event at the end of the symposium creating sweetgrass oil sugar scrubs at 3pm-make sure to register early for that if interested, space is limited.

At this event: We will be collecting material donations for one of the groups that spoke at last year’s Symposium-Mother’s from Juarez, MX. Here is info below on their group and donations requested, donations can be dropped off at the Symposium registration table. 
From the group: “Mothers that have daughters that have been missing for over a decade and were forced to stop searching for their daughters due to violence and threats. These mothers believe their daughters were trafficked and are still out there.” 
The items that would be most helpful for them are nonperishable food, toiletries, toilet paper and laundry detergent.

Date: Saturday May 9th
Time: 6am-9am
Location: Pima Community College West Campus
Details: Run/walk for awareness, speakers, elders of honor, cultural offerings (dances and flute)
