For Middle & High School students.
Learn to write an essay like a pro! We’ll walk through the steps of the writing process together (prewriting, drafting, and revision); you will learn how to organize a 5 paragraph essay, develop ideas in a paragraph, write a thesis statement, and basic MLA formatting. By the end of the 4 weeks, you will have a polished essay you’ll be proud to show off!

Hello! My name is Emily, but I'm also known as Mrs. Bolthouse by many. Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I'm a native Tucsonan, a former homeschool student, and an ELA teacher. I am equally passionate about how people are shaped by words and narratives as I am about mentoring students through education.
I am a certified teacher in Secondary Education in the state of Arizona. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English along with my Master's of Education in Teaching and Teacher Education at the University of Arizona. I have 15 years of experience teaching middle and high school language arts in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
Outside of teaching I love a good book, a good cup of coffee, a good laugh, and spending quality time with my family, friends, and church community.
