📢 What’s Happening with Livsey? Here’s What Families Need to Know

Dekalb County Public Schools’ proposed Student Assignment Plan (SAP) includes a major change for our community—an expansion of Livsey Elementary and a potential merger with Midvale Elementary on Livsey’s campus.

At a high level, this proposal could:
🏫 Increase student population and capacity at Livsey
🔄 Shift attendance zones, including some students being redistricted
🚗 Impact traffic flow, carpool, and overall campus safety
🏗️ Bring construction and transition timelines that may affect current students and families

While growth and investment in our schools are important, it’s critical that it’s done thoughtfully, safely, and with clear communication to families.

Spring is in the air!! Please join us this coming Saturday, April 18th, for our Habitat Workday as we prepare our outdoor classroom area for our teachers and students to use!

This space is such a special part of our school, and with a little teamwork, we can make it even more beautiful and ready for students to enjoy. We’re looking for volunteers to jump in wherever needed, including:

• Spreading mulch
• Pruning shrubs
• Planting native plants
• Pressure washing
• General clean-up
