🌞 Nature is a safe space for the divine feminine. 🪺
Being in the wild provides a non-judgmental and accepting space for women to be themselves without fear of criticism or rejection.
In nature, there are no societal expectations, and one can fully embrace their authentic self. By spending time in nature, women can feel free to explore their thoughts, emotions, and vulnerabilities without the pressure of external judgment.
Women can go feral.
Get dirty.
Fall into their animal nature.
Because…
🍃 Nature is our natural habitat. 🍃

In my mind- this song has always conjured a vision of a woman floating down a forest creek, the fabric of her dress billowing out around her in a halo.

Plunging your body into a creek is a true divine experience. It sets your nerves alight, bringing total awareness to the physical body.

Staying fully immersed in the frigid water long enough for your creative soul sister to be able capture the image, is another thing entirely.

Did my life flash in front of my eyes?
Yes.
When the water consumed my torso did it also steal my ability to breathe?
Yes.
Did it force me into an out of body experience where I was able to see the true beauty of the moment as if floating above the forest looking down?
Also yes.

Would I do it again?
Every-single-day.

Would you plunge into the cold creek with me, all for the sake of art and connection?

Even us nature girlies have to go inside sometimes. My best advice for when you’re jonesing for a nature hit– drag it inside with you!

Do you know what’s in the jar? Five gold stars if you can guess!

A BOOK I LOVED— The Empress of Salt and Fortune by NGHI VO
Rich folklore, epic world building, representation of q***r and non-binary people. In just 119 pages this book packs a punch.

When a cleric visits a recently reopened palace near a remote lake they run into an elderly woman named Rabbit. While exploring the contents of the palace Rabbit tells them the story of the late Empress, and how she knew her.

It was amazing how much magic, mystery and emotion was packed into this short book. I listened to it on audiobook while gardening and enjoyed every second of it.

Have you read a novella recently? Or do you prefer longer books? Lately the shorter the better for my wandering mind!

Meet Onion 🧅 the puca! Onion is going to be the very best side kick in my work in progress novel. Puca are shapeshifting creatures from Celtic folklore. Mischievous, but not harmful, they will mess with your day and disappear to giggle into the sunset.

A few fun facts about onion.
🧅 They named themselves, because onions are their favorite food.
🧅 Likes: sorting through strangers garbage, watching tv through humans windows, and following Sylvie around to keep her safe
🧅 Dislikes: Wearing clothing and songs about dogs
🧅 Yes they can take almost any shape, but they prefer a mishmash of raccoon and disgruntled cat.

Some day I will be this crone. Until then I shall write the story of how the crone came to be in a magical garden. Would you read her story?

🌷Spring is a time for reclaiming, renewal, and rebirth.✨
Nature is sprouting new roots and taking up more space. Living seasonally doesn’t just mean making meals with what’s available. It can also mean embracing the phase of life that the natural world is currently in.

In order to live in harmony with Mother Nature, we must take our cues from her. Right now she is rising from the ashes and decay of autumn and winter. Bright green is pushing through dull brown. New life is utilizing what is old and rotting.

Why would we keep our old stale routines the same at such a vibrate time? Spring has freaking sprung my friends. Time for us to rise from the ashes as well.

Spring’s energy can be embraced to rebirth everything!

From the micro:
🐝 Starting a new routine
🐝 Planting a garden
🐝 Shifting your diet to help that spring detox
🐝 Cleaning a space
🐝 Reclaiming a word that brings you joy

To the macro:
🌷 Shifting how you view yourself
🌷 Letting go of old beliefs
🌷 Starting a new career
🌷 Finally diving into a passion project
🌷 Embracing new love

What are you looking to energize this spring?
