TPCT Welding and Fabrication

What an amazing day! We had 13 TPCT welders walk and received their certificates in welding! I am very proud of each one of them and looking forward to seeing where they go in life!

TPCT Welding has completed a big project for the Walmart DC7019 in Brundidge! Our welders completely rebuilt the bottom end as well as made modification to the top end. A lot of prints were drawn, measurements taken as well as mistakes made and lessons learned! Very proud of how it turned out! Knowledge is power! #

Thank you to Allen Teel, Eli Praytor and Joshua Scarborough from Sanders Lead for coming in and talking with my seniors about opportunities that are available for them locally. In a little over a month they will be starting the next chapter in life! I am excited to see them start that journey but will miss them in class as well!

Thank you to Jennifer Holland and Motobuilt for attending our Careers Are Fun Day! I currently have two graduates working for them and she said they scored really high on the welding test for employment! At TPCT Welding, we want all of our welders to find their path after school! Whether local businesses or over the road! Totally up to them. I just make sure they're ready! Knowledge is power! #

Congratulations to Kevyn Curiel for finishing 3rd in the Skills USA Southern District welding competition!! On the state from here! Knowledge is power!!

TPCT Welding is representing at the District Skills USA welding competition in Opp today! They have been turning and burning! Next we learn where they finished! They feel good about their work! #

Great job by Brianna Liles installing the serving window on the food trailer! She recruited some muscle to set it in place and she locked it in! There's more to welding and fabrication than just what happens under the welding helmets! Knowledge is power! #

We would like to thank Mr. Richard Lewis at KW Machine Shop for allowing two of our welders to job shadow today. We have graduates from high school and night class working there now. We want our students career ready when they graduate! Knowledge is power! #

As many things that I am proud of accomplishing at TPCT Welding, this is what I am most proud of! We are at 2007 days without a Lost Time Incident and counting! The safety culture and accountability each student has taken on over the last 5.5 years has been what has made this happen! I told the students that we are only 993 days away from 3000! I plan to be here for it! Knowledge is power! #

TPCT Welding had it's annual local Skills USA welding competition tonight! We had 3 advanced and 3 beginners compete. They all had fun, learned about welding under pressure and all came out winners! We are thankful for our business partners (Keith Jeffcoat, Frank Cole, Richard Lewis) that came to judge to competition and WESCO in Troy for providing prizes. All will get to compete in the district competition on February 13th in Opp!
