Join us for a conversation with two Dayton Track Club Elite team members at The Ultimate Race Expo! Ken Brunson and Melissa Anderson will share their experience as elite athletes, discuss challenges and triumphs over the years and give running tips that have helped their progress as runners. Ken and Melissa will be speaking at 2:15 on June 1 at the Baum Opera House. Bring your questions for this Q&A session.

Ken Brunson is a veterinarian and adjunct professor who regularly runs over 3000 miles a year! The life lessons from running have given him spill over into his real life, especially the lesson of resiliency in the face of not reaching your goals.

Melissa Anderson is a K-3 Physical Education teacher who is currently training for her first 50K. She is also a Road Runners Club of America Certified Distance Running Coach who tailors her clients’ training plans to them specifically so they can reach their goals.

So this gear arrived today! I'm so honored to have been accepted onto the Dayton Track Club Elite Team! I'm so excited to meet new people and I look forward to seeing what new racing adventures, challenges and friendships this brings into my life.

Yesterday I got to run with this sweet girl at her Girls on the Run race! I gave her run lessons two summers ago and look at her now! Today was so fun and I was so flattered she asked me to be her running buddy for the race!

You're always proud to see an athlete you coach reach goals and set PR's but that feeling is definitely amplified when it's your baby! Congrats to my daughter who ran her first in-person Half Marathon today at age 14! 18 minute PR over her virtual race when her first half got canceled in 2020! This girl always follows the plans I give her to a T. She put in the work and it paid off today, even in single digit windchills!

Get out there and move in the fresh air before the storm hits! 😁
