Open to the public by appointment at no cost. More information is available on request.

Due to incidents at other observatories, all first time visitors are required to fill out and sign Liability Release forms which will be kept
on file. TAO is the primary viewing location of the Odyssey Astronomy Club, An informal organization open to anyone and dedicated to promoting interest in the Science of Astronomy. NOTICE: First time visitors to the observatory are required to fill out and sign a Liability Release Form.

We ended up with a good crowd last night and because we were maxed out, we ended up having to turn away a number visitors that had not pre registered. Unfortunately, while we observe a number of fire balls and regular meteors, the shower did not produce meteors at the projected rate.

Our "Basics of Visual Astronomy" presentation will be given prior to the viewing session (at 8:00pm) for anyone wanting to attend. It covers how telescopes work, the importance of dark skies, what can be seen in our solar system and outside the Sol System.

2 comets visible last half of April - first half of May. Early morning in Pegasus and just after sunset to the west of Gemini. Search browser for exact locations.
