..everything that makes life worth living…
Here’s to the places that give us space to breathe deeper,
to the connections that fuel us, the views that change our perspective. Here’s to the ones that open our hearts to something bigger. More wonder. More play. More LIFE.
Here’s to staying open. Staying flexible.
Even in the moments of not knowing-
trusting we are going somewhere worth going. 💫💫
Here’s to believing in the miracles of each moment-
giving ourselves permission..
to enjoy the journey.
This is Freedom.

Under a Sierra sky 🤍🩵
📍Forester Pass, 13,153 ft.

🏔️ May 27, 2026
My fight or flight response was put to the test last week…🏔️
We started the Sierra section of the trail beginning at KMS and made our way up following the south fork of the Kern River in South Sierra wilderness and later into the Golden Trout Wilderness. Two days later just minutes after reaching Sequoia & Kings Canyon NP, we were greeted with hail and snow storms that came in each afternoon after.❄️🌲
Conditions were for the most part manageable throughout the week as we updated our garmins regularly and kept an eye each day on storm activity so we could plan and prep accordingly as much as possible.
The Sierra is famous for heavy, wet snow and rapid whiteout conditions and that’s exactly what she gave us on the last day before a resupply just after making it over Forester pass.
We thankfully made it over the highest point in the nick of time but shortly after, it began to dump pretty rapidly and our next push up and over Kearsarge Pass turned into a huge scare with high winds and heavy snowfall.
It didn’t help that I had slipped off a log on the last creek crossing just before the junction and had soaked my shoes completely 🤦♀️ hiking through a snowstorm with wet socks and feet was extremely unpleasant to say the least. 🥶
These mountains are no joke! It can go from clear sunny skies one minute to wind, hail and heavy storms the next. Proper planning and preparation is essential 💯🙌
Thank you for putting in your ALL to get us down and off the mountain safely 🙏🏼 beyond grateful for you.

Love struck at the aqueduct…🫶
It was a perfect day to slow the pace, and enjoy the open space. With this section being known for extreme heat, we were grateful to have the weather on our side for this next section of the desert.🌵🌞
A fun little day adventure of silly conversations,
good belly laughs and marveling at a beautiful desert sky. Slowing the pace and enjoying the ease of the day feels good sometimes. It doesn’t necessarily mean losing time. Slowing down is about reclaiming time, being present to better absorb what’s there for us. It’s an opportunity to pause, notice more, connect more. There’s something sacred about appreciating the here and now- what already exists. I like to think of it more of gaining time by doing things that are meaningful, being fully present for life’s beautiful surprises, offerings and connections. 💫🦋💕

What do I love most about life outdoors?
Being smack in the middle of it. ALL of it…
The cool winds that sweep through mountains,
the chill that hits the bones. The hurt so good feeling.
The sway of the trees. The breeze. The songs of streams.
The night sky, under the owls eye. The rain that kisses my face. The warmth of the morning sun when it hits the skin.
The smell of Earth. The raw. The feet covered in dirt.
The sweet sight of vibrant blooms. Nature. 💚 Full immersion.
Learning its language and its ways. The energy of sunny days. Losing myself in the thick of it. Falling in love again and again.
The wild is my sanctuary. It’s freedom. Its Life. It’s Home.💫
My home is everywhere.
