REMINDER: Thursday, April 16, is an early release day for all K–12 students. No school for Pre-K students.

Students will attend school for three hours, while Early Learning students will not be in session. Breakfast will be served, and grab-and-go lunches will be available. Transportation will also be provided for students who regularly ride the bus.

Early Release Days provide Unit 5 staff members with valuable time for professional development and collaboration—strengthening classroom instruction and creating more opportunities for our students.🧡

No school Monday, see everyone on Tuesday!

Due to forecasted temperatures and wind chills, Unit 5 Schools will be closed Monday, January 26. This is a traditional weather day with NO E-LEARNING. This day will be made up at the end of the school year.
Students should NOT report to school.
Students will return to school in person on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

There will be no practices, activities, or games before 3 pm on Monday. Coaches and advisors will share any schedule changes.

Unit 5 Schools will have an E-Learning Day on Friday, Jan. 23, due to extremely cold temperatures. Students should NOT report to school in person, but WILL have classes online.

An E-Learning day means that rather than closing school because of inclement weather, all students will learn remotely. These days do not have to be made up at the end of the school year.

All Friday morning practices are canceled. Friday afternoon practices may start after 2:30 pm and must be completed by 8 pm. Friday evening games and events may proceed as scheduled. Weekend activities are currently scheduled to continue as planned, but please note this is subject to change.

Choosing an E-Learning Day is never an easy decision, but the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.

Unit 5 will be trading in its black and orange for blue and orange on Friday, January 16, to cheer on the Bears during their playoff run. Students and staff are invited to wear blue, orange, or Bears gear to show their spirit throughout the school day.

This is completely optional, just a fun way to celebrate together. Bear Down!

Our SRO, Officer Flood, retired on Friday. We held a little assembly in his honor and met our new SRO, Officer Darrien! We also learned about how to THINK before we make choices that impact others. Thank you Officer Flood for serving our school!
