So an update and big news:
I've decided to go back to school this January! YAY💖 Therefore unfortunately there won't be a spring session for Idol Academy at this time... but due to a lot of inquiries, I would like to announce that I have limited slots available for those who are interested in taking private vocal lessons remotely. If you'd like to take lessons, please contact me thru this page, my email, or thru my personal page: for more details on rates and availability.

Thank you all so much for your continuous support - I've been teaching JPOP idol performace classes thru Idol Academy since 2017, and feel very humbled to have had the opportunity to host such a unique class and meet people of different lives and backgrounds. 😭🙏💖

Hosting a "How to be an Idol" Panel at Saboten Con this weekend! 💖💖💖

Saturday at 11:30am-12:30pm
Sunday at 5:30pm-6:30pm

Get ready to learn about being a jpop/anime idol as we'll transform you into one!! Idol cosplay and participation is highly encouraged and come join us in our Idol exercises that will definitely challenge you on our stage!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sing your favorite tunes AND perform?

Are you already singing and want to improve on your vocal technique?

Do you wanna try out something new this fall?

Then come join us and SING your heart out!!

In the 4 weeks of this session, you will:
💖Learn the Super Basics of Singing
💖Sing ONE Solo song of your choice
💖Sing a Group Song assigned by Mari Sensei
💖Learn about constructive criticism and receive/give feedback
💖Experience Teamwork with your classmates
💖Perform your solo on Zoom
💖Recieve a customized video recording of your song as a keepsake! (THAT'S RIGHT)

➡️Weekly 90min ZOOM group class + 30min extra help on Saturdays at 2pm PST
➡️CLASS: 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9
➡️Performance date: 10/16
➡️No Registration fee, $60/person for the entire session
➡️Space is limited and will be capped after the first week of class!

What you will need:
▶️Set aside at least 10min per day to practice your songs!
▶️2 devices - one for running the Zoom application and another to play music out of.
▶️No fancy Mics necessary!
▶️A strong internet connection
▶️Access to Google Classrooms - need a valid gmail address
▶️Printer to print your music/lyrics, practice logs, etc!
▶️Students must be age 18 and up
▶️And lastly, a positive attitude!😊

Please welcome Idol Academy to Saboten Con Founded in fall of 2017, Idol Academy is a Southern California based performance arts program that focuses on teaching people how to dance and sing on stage! Inspired by Japanese Idols such as the iconic Morning Musume and AKB48, as well as Anime Idols - Muse and Aquors, Idol Academy sets out to tra
