College Prep Academy

This morning, our Middle School College Prep students took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to the Kansas State Capitol!

Students enjoyed a guided tour before sitting in on the 11 a.m. House session, getting a firsthand look at how the legislative process works. As they continue studying Congress and participating in mock sessions at school, this real-world experience brought their learning to life in a powerful way.

This morning, our 7th graders met Mr. Robbins while 8th graders stepped up to teach them how to tie a tie. 👔 After a few tries, students left feeling confident and proud! 💪

Mrs. Delacruz’s class is wrapping up the school year with more fun and exciting activities! Yesterday, students took a field trip to Kansas City where they explored Science City, visited the Planetarium, and toured the National WWI Museum. What a fun and educational way to celebrate the end of the year! 🌟🚌🔭

Our high school CPA students had a great time visiting UMKC on May 1! 🎓 They toured parts of the campus, learned more about UMKC’s academic offerings, and got a glimpse into the daily life of a college student. What an inspiring day for our future college scholars!

🎓 Congratulations to Dr. McKnight on receiving his doctorate degree this morning from the University of the Cumberlands!🎉👏 Our students watched him cross the stage live during class, what an incredible and inspiring moment. Dr. McKnight continues to lead by example and show students the power of perseverance and education.
