The fog day on Friday set the release of this back a little bit, but my students were interviewed by the Round Table Podcast about the Iditarod. In class, students created their own mini Iditarod preview podcasts. From that, students who wanted to be on The Round Table Podcast went through a series of interview questions. Each class had one representative as well as a project manager and the managers assistant role. Taylor, Blake, Ortega, Swartz, Ruby, and Koch all did a great job! It’s been a few years since I’ve had a social media page for my classroom, and a lot has changed since then. Last time you saw me on socials, I was teaching 7th grade English. Now my classroom has grown into something a little different, and honestly, a lot more fun.

These days I teach Humanities electives to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Otsego Local Schools. This semester our classes include The Great Outdoors, American Cultures, and Monsters & Mysteries.

One of the things I love about this format is that our classroom is always evolving. Instead of the same lessons period after period, we get to explore new ideas, try creative projects, and dive into topics that connect history, culture, storytelling, and the world around us.

The goal of this page is simple: to show off the awesome work students are doing. From here on out, I’ll share projects, activities, and highlights from our classroom so people can see the creativity, curiosity, and hard work happening here.

Our students do some really cool things, and they deserve to be recognized for it.
