We fill the bleachers on Friday nights for football. We fill the bleachers on cold winter nights for basketball. We travel miles and miles, to sit in the bleachers for volleyball, baseball, softball, wrestling and dance.

Our 4-H and FFA families would like to invite you to fill the bleachers on a warm summer day during county fair week and watch the kids who practice with a 1300 pound steer that doesn’t always want to walk, a 140 pound lamb that doesn’t want to get on the stand for the 100th time, a 280 pound hog that just wants to stay in the cool barn or a stubborn goat that doesn’t like the chain.

Come check out Roger's Building for all the non-livestock exhibitors. Those kids have heart and dedication and put hours into their creations. Come and learn from these future leaders while listening to their communication projects.

Let’s fill the bleachers, barns, and buildings to show these kids that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and that, because of them, the future of agriculture and leadership is in good hands.

🎣 Exciting news for Iowa's young anglers! The Iowa 4-H Fishing Club is launching statewide, offering youth in grades 4-12 the opportunity to dive into the world of fishing. 🐟

This club focuses on Iowa's aquatic ecosystems, improving fishing techniques, and promoting environmental stewardship. Through hands-on activities, webinars, and tournaments, members gain skills in fishing, fish identification, lure tying, water safety, and more, all while connecting with Iowa’s natural beauty.

🍀 Enrolling in the Iowa 4-H Fishing Club is a two-step process:
1. 4-H Online Enrollment: Participants must first enroll as a 4-H member in 4-H Online (https://v2.4honline.com/) in the “Statewide Fishing Club.” (There is one listed in each county.) County staff will then approve enrollment.
2. Event Registration: Once approved, participants must enroll in the event "Iowa 4-H Fishing Club."

Members Wyatt & Lauren and Coach Eric, along with another SESS Ambassador, helped out at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet this weekend on behalf of Iowa 4-H Shooting Sports. The RMEF contributes to the Iowa SESS program which helps with expenses related to the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships.
