This is our Head Editor, Davis Lisk! He’s 22 years old, a senior interdisciplinary studies major. His hobbies include
writing poetry and doodling
His favorite aspects of being a part of the Mountain Laurel are “making literature/art happen – Literature is a great place to live and raise a family. – I like how it makes creating art an everybody thing.”
-
-His favorite quote: (he chose this— the length is absurd, I know):

“You can give me a Shakespeare play and ask me to write a play like that, and I can’t do it, you can show me a painting by Turner and ask me to paint that, and I can’t do it, and you can show me the life of Jesus of Nazareth and ask me to live a life like that, and I can’t do it, but if the genius of Shakespeare could come and live in me, I could write those plays, and if the power if Turner came to live in me, then I could paint those paintings, and if the power of the risen Lord Jesus could come and live in me, then I could live that life.”
– Archbishop William Temple
