Honest history does not hide America’s failures—and it does not pretend those failures are the whole story. Teach slavery, segregation, and injustice. Also teach liberty, abolition, civil rights, invention, sacrifice, immigration, and progress.

We’re thrilled to welcome our newest Affiliate, Emily Moore, located in Portland, Oregon. 👏

"I am a mother of two and a passionate advocate for safe, transparent, and accountable public schools. After experiencing retaliation for speaking up about student safety concerns in my own district, I chose to become a leader instead of staying silent. I am committed to empowering families, educating parents about their rights, and work collaboratively to ensure every child has access to a safe learning environment where parents rights are respected." - Emily Moore

ADF urges Senate to clarify college sports bill won’t preempt state women’s sports laws 08/06/2026

🚨 URGENT!!!

The Protect College Sports Act (S. 4668) could go for a vote in the Senate as soon as tonight.

Supporters of women's sports are urging senators to amend the bill to ensure it does not preempt state laws that protect women's sports.

Twenty-seven states have already enacted laws to preserve fair competition based on biological s*x. Advocates argue the bill should be clarified so those state protections remain in place.

📞 If this issue matters to you, contact your U.S. Senators today and urge them to support an amendment that protects existing state women's sports laws.

Oregon’s current system wasn’t created by one vote or one agency. It grew through legislation, regulations, insurance mandates, school policies, and public programs—one layer at a time. Understanding that progression is the first step toward accountability.

Every successful partnership is built on trust, and trust depends on transparency. Parents don’t expect schools to do their job for them, but they do expect honest communication about their children. When families and educators work together, students benefit.
