Thurston Turkey Trot The 2025 Thurston Turkey Trot will be held Thanksgiving morning on Thurston Main Street. on Thanksgiving on Thurston Main Street.

Registration for the 17th Annual Thurston Turkey Trot is now open: https://runsignup.com/Race/NE/Thurston/ThurstonTurkeyTrot

Both the 5K and 1 mile race start at 8 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Jeff and Carol Memorial Scholarship at Pender Public Schools, helping two graduating seniors each receive $1,000. Price: $30 Race Fee + RunSignUp registration Fee
Registration: Price increases to $35 + RunSign

Up Fee after November 20, 2025 at 11:59pm CST
Race fee includes long sleeve t-shirt. Get the extended family to sign up - anyone can walk a mile! There will be a special prize for the family with the most participants. MEN'S 5K COURSE RECORD: 17:16 held by Addison Albin of Parkville, MO (Norfolk, NE native) set in 2018

Who’s feeling FAST?!
We have trophies and Scheels gift cards for top male and female finishers in the 5K and 1 Mile.

Top 3 males and females in each age group will receive medals as well as all kids 1 mile finishers.

And as always- a special prize for the family with the most finishing participants. Looks to be a tight race this year!
