We are so proud to announce that one of our very own Conejo Council students was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in this year’s National PTA Reflections program. Her photography piece has been through 5 rounds of judging. Congratulations Lily and never stop creating your passions!

Congratulations to Colina Middle School student Lily for earning an Award of Excellence in Photography in the 2023-2024 National Parent Teacher Association competition! From 45 PTA congresses, National PTA received over 900 student entries inspired by this year's theme I am Hopeful Because... Of those submissions, 200 student artists nationwide received awards. As an Award of Excellence recipient, Lily will receive a $200 Young Artist Scholarship, Silver Medal, Certificate of Excellence and her work will be featured in the National PTA's virtual exhibition. Way to go Lily and congratulations to the Conejo Council PTA!

Reflections Art Competition:

Does your school have a PTA? Then your child should tap into that creative gene and submit a Reflections artwork!
This year’s Reflections theme is “I am Hopeful Because….”

We celebrated a number of our students from Conejo Valley last year that went on to compete at State, and one of those students even WON at National!

Your student can paint a picture, draw, make a 3D piece from Lego’s, create a dance, write a short story or poem, take a photograph, compose a song, film a movie, the possibilities are endless!

Check with your school to see if you have a Reflections Program and when your submissions are due! Happy Creativity!

We hope everyone has been enjoying their summer break! What a perfect time for students to start working on their PTA Reflections art submissions! The theme this year is: "I am hopeful because..."

Students can tap into their creativity and explore any of the following categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Dance Choreography, Music Composition, and Film Production.

❗️Students must attend a school with an active PTA/PTSA to participate in the National PTA Reflections Program.
