The 2026 Young Investors Society Gala in New York City brought together industry leaders, supporters, students, and educators for an inspiring evening celebrating financial literacy and the next generation of investors.

We were honored to welcome representatives from Bloomberg, Grandeur Peak, Webull, Neuberger Berman, Goldman Sachs, Arise Equity Management, and SIFF, whose partnership and support help make our mission possible.

The evening featured remarks from keynote speaker Robert Doll, recognition of Conrad Saldanha as this year's honoree, and powerful stories from student speakers Temi O. and Christian G., who shared how YIS has impacted their educational and professional journeys.

Together, we celebrated student achievement, expanded access to financial education, and the collective effort to empower young people with the knowledge and opportunities they need to succeed.

Congratulations to the Winners of the 2026 Young Investors Society Case Study Competition at the GYIS event in NYC!

This year's Case Study Challenge pushed students to think like real-world investors and corporate strategists as they analyzed one of the most talked-about acquisitions in recent footwear history: Crocs and the Hey Dude acquisition.

Participants explored Crocs' remarkable turnaround from near bankruptcy to becoming one of the most successful retail brand comebacks in recent history. Students then evaluated the company's $2.5 billion acquisition of Hey Dude, examining the strategic rationale, financial implications, growth opportunities, risks, and whether the deal would ultimately create long-term shareholder value.

Throughout the competition, students demonstrated exceptional analytical thinking, financial acumen, teamwork, and presentation skills as they tackled a complex business challenge faced by a publicly traded company.

Congratulations to all of our finalists and winners for their outstanding work and thoughtful investment analysis. The quality of presentations this year was truly impressive and showcased the incredible talent within the YIS community.

A sincere thank you to our outstanding Real Estate Investing Panel speakers, Arise Equity Management, Ji Zhang, Mark Jason, CFA, & Daniel Robert Jason Trujillo for sharing their expertise with students at the 2026 Global Youth Investment Summit.

One of the goals of GYIS is to expose students to the many career paths within finance, and this panel provided valuable insight into the world of real estate investing as a dynamic and intellectually rigorous area of the industry. Students learned how real estate intersects with valuation, capital markets, underwriting, operations, risk analysis, and investment decision-making, while gaining a deeper understanding of how financial concepts are applied in the real world.

The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including property valuation, risk and return, real estate versus equities, market analysis, and practical ways young investors can begin exploring the asset class. Most importantly, our students had the opportunity to engage directly with experienced professionals and ask thoughtful questions about careers in real estate and finance.

We extend our gratitude to our panelists for their time, insights, and commitment to educating the next generation of financial leaders. Thank you as well to our moderator, David Miles, and to Arise Equity Management for supporting this impactful conversation.

Through strategic guidance, active engagement, mentorship, and unwavering support of our students and mission, Lee has played an instrumental role in helping YIS continue to grow and thrive. His dedication to expanding opportunities for young people around the world exemplifies the very best of board leadership.

Vielcka Mansukhani - YIS Corporate Partnership Champion Award

The Corporate Partnership Champion Award honors an individual who has gone above and beyond to build meaningful relationships that create opportunities for YIS students. Through her advocacy, collaboration, and commitment to connecting YIS with industry leaders and organizations, Vielcka has helped strengthen partnerships that provide students with invaluable educational experiences, mentorship, networking opportunities, and career exposure.
