On the last day of school, our students gathered on the playground to capture a year’s worth of friendships, growth, and unforgettable moments in their yearbooks.
The hugs are real, the smiles are big, and the memories will last all summer long.

🎉 What an Incredible Carnival! 🎉
Yesterday afternoon, our Westgate Community truly came alive with laughter, color, and connection at our annual Carnival—and what a celebration it was! From start to finish, the energy was contagious as families, students, and staff came together to enjoy an unforgettable day.

The inflatables were a huge hit, with kids bouncing, racing, and smiling from ear to ear. Face painting transformed so many of our students into everything from superheroes to butterflies, while the graffiti station gave our young artists the chance to showcase their creativity in bold, vibrant ways. 🎨
And let’s talk about the food—our amazing lineup of food trucks kept everyone fueled with delicious treats, adding even more fun (and flavor!) to the afternoon. 🌮🍧
Meanwhile, our online auction brought the entire community together in support of Westgate, and we are thrilled to share that we exceeded our fundraising goal! 🎉 Your generosity and enthusiasm made this possible, and we are so grateful.
Events like this remind us just how special the Westgate Community is. The joy, the support, and the shared experiences are what make our school such an amazing place to be.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make the Carnival such a success. We loved celebrating with you—and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

At Westgate Community School, we proudly celebrate every step of our students’ journeys. Yesterday, we honored our K–8 students at their continuation ceremonies. This meaningful milestone reflects their hard work, growth, and dedication.
Each student has made a lasting impact on their teachers and peers, and we are so proud of all they’ve accomplished. As we reflect on a year filled with laughter, learning, and connection, we also look ahead with excitement.
We can’t wait to welcome our students back next year and continue the journey together! 🎉

The eggs have hatched and the baby chicks have names! Boba is black with orange feet. Charcoal is all black. W***y is all grey and small. Vanilla is blonde and gray. Sunset is blond and orange.
Westgate students in all grades get a chance to learn more about the care and raising of animals on the farm, but the chick hatching is extra special as they all get to see the baby chicks when they hatch and vote on names.

Ms. Thomas, Ms. Small, and even support staffer Mr. Dover took one for the team Friday afternoon—letting all of our 4th graders celebrate by smashing whipped cream pies in their faces! A sweet continuation of a favorite tradition from last year! 🥧🎉
