These last several months I have been working with my graphic designer, e hooper designs. We are getting very close to finishing the book we have been working on called, "Smokey the Cat Knows How to Tell Time! Do You?"
We are looking forward to printing a sample of my fourth story about my very special cat who knows how to tell time. Once the sample book comes back from the printer, we will read it several times to look and make sure it is ready for massive printing.
Looking forward to sharing more with all of you soon.
This book is a wonderful interactive, and engaging story that educators, parents, and children will enjoy together.
My cat Smokey is the main character and is quite unique and funny at times. This interactive rhyming story will be a great read aloud for children ages 3-7 years old. Parents and children alike will love the HEAR IT, SEE IT, DO IT pages of engagement that will benefit their children in early literacy skills.

Dragonfly Publishing and Author PDHoyt give back to Plymouth State University (PSU Formerly PSC) by donating and decorating a tree at the “2025 Festival of the Trees” Event at PSU Silver Center.
This event raises money for student scholarship funds. This years event takes place on December 4-7th, 2025. Tickets can be purchased to vote on your favorite tree. Each tree is given to a lucky individual who’s name is drawn from that trees voters collection bin. All money raised goes to student scholarships for PSU.
PDHoyt graduated from Plymouth State College (PSU) in 1985 with a BS Degree in Elementary Education K-8 and a Minor in Psychology . She feels very fortunate to give back to the college that gave her so much in her 34 year career as a teacher to children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
PDHoyt is honored to help other students reach their dreams through this scholarship fund. Don’t forget to stop by donate to a great cause and check out the educational tree called, “The Alphabet Comes Marching In & Literacy Guide”written by Patricia Hoyt and published by Dragonfly Publishing.
