🎉 Keep their minds busy and active!
Dogs need their minds worked, good ol healthy mental exercise.
Many dog owners tend to think "exercise" only means physical exercise, but guys that's not the case! Our dogs need their minds exercised too, it's so beneficial for them, and let's face it you too.
Some of our dogs can be mischievous or overly energized and regular mental exercise paired with physical exercise can help so many of our dogs. Even if your dog isn't full of energy mental exercise is still so good for them!
Don't underestimate the power of routine, daily mental exercise for your dog. Dog puzzles, sniff mats, puzzle slow feeders, training sessions, and like forms of mental exercise are great.
There are different levels of difficulty in canine puzzles and different forms of activities they can do to get their mental exercise in. We highly recommend starting on level 1 or 2 for puzzles and work your way up as they need more challenges, as well as changing up the different forms of mental exercises you are offering them to keep them engaged.
And don't forget routine training! Yes, training is great to have a well behaved dog that knows what you expect of them, but training can also be fun.
Once you've accomplished all of the important training commands such as place, stay, sit, leave it, general house manners, etc. you can always work together to learn some adorable commands like bow, sit pretty, and so on just for fun.
Training is so powerful, from good behavior and safety, to great mental exercise and strengthening your bond with your fur-baby! 🥰
