Burroughs Supports Chiari & Syringomyelia Awareness!

This September, we are coming together as a Burroughs family to support one of our Tiger moms on her Chiari journey. Every Wednesday in September, students and staff are encouraged to PURPLE OUT by wearing a purple shirt, socks, hair accessory, or other school-appropriate purple item.

Wear Purple. Show Support. Spread Awareness. Because at Burroughs, no Tiger climbs alone!

Classroom Spotlight!
Ms. White's 3rd graders are jumping into math with their manipulatives. In these photos, you see students engaging with regrouping to subtract. Parents, if you see your students drawing boxes, sticks, and dots to subtract, it's okay! They are making manipulatives at home to replicate what they are learning at school.

Class Work Showcase!
Please enjoy this Pre-K showcase with Mrs. Farley's students. Students engaged in a story called "The Kissing Hand" and created a piece of art with their hands to develop comprehension kinesthetically. We love seeing this!
