Pruning is one of the best ways to encourage fuller growth on your fiddle leaf fig. By cutting just above a node, you’re signaling the plant to branch out — which means more leaves and a bushier shape over time 🙌
I used the Modern Sprout Hand Pruners to prune my fiddle. They’re made with a sharp carbon steel blade, are rust resistant, and the safety lock gives me peace of mind that they’re securely closed when not in use. Plus, they have a comfortable grip, which makes pruning so much easier 🌿
Bonus? You can propagate your cutting and grow yourself a brand new baby fiddle 🌱

A lot of people think every fiddle leaf fig needs support, but that’s not always the case.
When they’re young, a little sway from airflow can actually help them grow stronger trunks. But as they get taller and those big leaves and branches add weight, they may need a little extra help staying upright.
My fiddle leaf fig did great on its own for years. It wasn’t until it reached about 8 feet tall that I decided to add support.
Drop a photo of your fiddle leaf fig in the comments. I love seeing all the different shapes, sizes, and personalities these trees have. 🌿💚
