Powell Elementary, Conroe ISD Powell Elementary is a K-4th grade school part of
Conroe ISD located in The Woodlands, Texas. Home of the Panthers πŸ“šπŸΎπŸ’œ There were two classrooms per room.

Powell Elementary opened in the 1994-1995 school year with 300 students under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Dianne Reed. The school had three Kindergarten teachers and six first through fourth grade teachers. Students started the year housed at Galatas Elementary. One was a Powell class and one was a Galatas class! Construction was finally complete and we moved into our new school over the Than

ksgiving holidays. On January 30, 1995, General Colin Powell visited to dedicate the school. As General Powell entered the gym, students were singing and waving American flags. News cameras were everywhere. It was truly an extraordinary experience. Powell is now home to 800 students and is led by Principal, Erin Mathe. Powell has achieved an exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency every year for the past 17 years! Students attend both TWHS and CPHS feeder schools.
