Librarians shouldn't be losing their jobs over state level budget cuts. Take a stand and support public education! Contact your state and local representatives and tell them to fully fund schools and advocate for teachers, librarians, counselors, other support staff, administrators, and give our students the best public education that Texas should be providing them!
Thank you to all the librarians and library staff out there!

As we move into 2024, I am thinking of ways this group can give back to our district! In the future, I would like to set up events where members can meet and engage as a community and find ways to help residents of our school district. Some ideas I have include casual meet ups where members can chat, get to know each other, network, meet other parents, and grow a closer knit community! I was also thinking certain fundraisers like a holiday toy drive that would benefit district staff or families in the district that need a little extra help to make the season special or maybe a midyear school supply collection to help our teachers fill their supply closets half way through the year! Perhaps it'd be nice to set up playdates so kids can socialize with other students they ay not otherwise meet because of attending different schools? What are some suggestions from everyone on how we can grow our community, engage with each other, and help our district in any way we can? All ideas are welcome!

TISD will be closed tomorrow, January 16, due to icy conditions and inclement weather. Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Mark your calendars for the TISD Rodeo Art Show featuring art from our district’s very talented students!
