My habits have saved me. They literally have. Multiple times.

About 5 years ago, I started the habit of waking up early. To exercise and meditate and write and read.

That habit has changed my life - and everything that’s happened since.

It has built up my resilience.

It has armed me with the energy, strength, and wisdom to persevere - and even thrive - through the ebbs and flows of life.

That’s why, when asked to speak to the MCABW (Montgomery County Association of Business Women), I suggested the topic 𝙃𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙠.

This time of year is particularly hard on habits.

But if you let your good habits fall through the cracks in December, you start off January behind.

And it’s much easier to start from 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 than it is from 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦.

I thoroughly enjoyed presenting yesterday. And I especially loved the takeaways shared by everyone afterwards.

Here’s to a joyful December - and forward momentum all the way to ‘24!

What a honor to be invited as a Visiting Author at the John Cooper Signature Signature Author series yesterday.

I enjoyed promoting 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙈𝙮 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 at my event table and getting to meet Alka Joshi, author of 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩 & trilogy.

My family and I participated in the Light the Night walk to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

It was a beautiful evening for a walk through The Woodlands Waterway, the different colored lanterns lighting the night.

WHITE for Survivors
GOLD for those who have lost loved ones

It’s been a difficult road with a lot of ups and downs for the past couple of years since David’s diagnosis. Seeing him carrying his white Survivor lantern was an incredible moment!

Thank you to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and to all who supported the Light the Night walk. We are lighting up a new path for a brighter future, free of this disease!

This is me on my graduation day, after earning an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. What do you see on my face?

Innocence… Hope… Anticipation… An undertone of apprehension… ?

Last week I did an interview with Kyle Kay and Sahana Kumar, Co-Editors-in-Chief of the Thunderbird School of Global Management’s student publication, 𝘿𝙖𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙧.

This week Thunderbird students will be scattering far and wide, to embark on a 3-week Global Challenge Lab. Their challenge is to parachute into a new country, immerse into the local culture, and execute a successful project for their clients - in just a few weeks.

How to pull that off?

Within a couple of days of our interview, as Kyle himself was preparing to leave, Kyle had turned around an article for 𝘿𝙖𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙧.

The article intertwines our experiences, poignantly capturing the feeling of standing on the precipice of possibility. It’s the essence of knowing that the next chapter is an open page - up to you to create.

I hope our experiences will inspire you to embrace the moment and reach for new heights.
