Today our 9th graders closed out book club with a visit to — a Bronx gem built with love and intention.
Each student picked a book that spoke to them, and owner Noëlle Santos shared her journey and why creating a bookstore in the Bronx mattered.
A beautiful reminder that stories connect us and spaces like this empower us 📚💛

Big thank you to David Estrada from Solar One for bringing solar energy to life for our students! ☀️
From heat‑lamp experiments to outdoor shading and angle testing, students had a blast diving into real‑world renewable energy. Hands‑on learning hits different.

Our Open Doors scholars finished the year in style with the epic production of The Lost Boys! The stunning visual effects took our breaths away as the actors’s voices and literal bodies soared through the air. The vampires in that show might not live forever, but our love for theater will never die.

We saw six amazing shows, met some amazing people (including Neil Patrick Harris!), ate a lot of pizza, and made memories we’ll never forget.

Thanks to the amazing Derek DelGaudio and all the folks at TDF for making this year possible!
