ORANGE BREAD πŸ˜‹

Ingredients:
2 large oranges (juice and zest, just the orange part of the peel)
3 large eggs at room temperature
3⁄4 cup of sugar
100g unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of wheat flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
Glazing sugar to sprinkle with orange icing (optional)

Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 Β°C and grease a pancake mold with butter and flour, making sure you cover the corners well to prevent the bread from sticking.

2. Thinly grate the peel of the oranges and squeeze them to get the juice, taking care not to include the white part to avoid the bitter taste.

3. Whisk the butter with the sugar until you get a pale and creamy mixture, which helps to make the bread more fluffy.

4. Add the eggs one by one to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition to achieve an even emulsion.

5. Incorporate the juice and zest of orange, gently blending until integrated and releasing the citrus aroma.

6. In a separate container, mix the flour, baking powder and salt, and gradually add it to the previous mixture alternating with milk to avoid lumps and achieve a silky texture.

7. Pour the dough into the prepared mold and slightly smooth the surface, giving small knocks to the mold on the table to remove air bubbles.

8. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until inserting a chopstick in the center comes out clean; if it burns too quickly, cover lightly with aluminum foil.

9. Remove bread from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before kneading to retain its shape and internal moisture.

10. Let cool completely on a griddle and sprinkle glaze sugar or add a light orange glaze if you desire a more traditional, aromatic finish.
