This summer, Texas High’s own Noah Veal was chosen as one of just 150 students statewide to attend the Texas Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Conference.
Over three action-packed days, Noah gained hands-on experience in:
Leadership and policy
Civic foundations (The Constitution, Declaration of Independence, & America's Creed)
Media relations and interview preparation
Storytelling and public speaking
Career roadmap planning
Principles of Free Enterprise
Executive dining etiquette
Hands-on personal budgeting
Ag entrepreneurship and scholarship options
Digital footprint and professional branding
Insights into government careers ("College to Congress")
Noah shared that the deep dives into free enterprise, financial budgeting, and dining etiquette stood out the most. Calling it "one of the greatest opportunities I have ever been given," he urges any student with an interest in agriculture to jump at this chance in the future.
Our students continue to make us proud near and far. Experiences like these equip our Tigers with the real-world skills needed to be truly FUTURE READY!
