Good Evening. If you are a family that picks your child up from school, please take a moment to review the procedures. These procedures were designed with your child's safety as our top priority. I would like to reiterate it is not ever ok to change lanes once in the car line unless directed to do so by a staff member. Doing so puts everyone in danger.

Today in science, our 5th graders took on “The Invisible Matter Investigation” 🔬✨

Their challenge: How can scientists detect matter they cannot see? 👀

Working in teams, our young scientists rotated through each investigation station while using their senses and scientific tools to make observations, collect evidence, and develop explanations.

We 🫶🏻 seeing students realize that science isn’t just about knowing the answer… it’s about asking questions, gathering evidence, and figuring out things together!

Today they weren’t just learning about matter….

🎉 Who says formative assessment has to be boring? 🎉

Not Mrs. Wall’s 1st grade class! Today, students put their learning to the test with a fun round of “Fable Bingo!” 📚🐢🦊

Our first graders were engaged, excited, and showing what they know about fables while enjoying a little friendly competition. This is what learning should look like: active, meaningful, and FUN! 🌟

✨ Learning in action! ✨

Our students have been busy building their literacy skills! We learned when to use “a” and “the,” and I checked for understanding using notecards. Students held up their answers as I read each sentence, making it a quick and fun way to see who had it down!

They LOVED it! ❤️ It was such a fun way to review and an easy way for me to see who truly grasped the information we learned this week. 📚✨

Our fifth graders are building their understanding of volume! 📦

Using unit cubes, students are creating models of rectangular prisms and counting the cubes to determine the volume. This hands-on activity helps students see that volume is the amount of space a three-dimensional object occupies and connects their models to the formula length × width × height.

A great way to make volume hands-on, visual, and meaningful! ✏️ 📐
