NOTICE OF FBI FEE CHANGE FOR CHCL APPLICATIONS

Instructors,

Effective January 1, 2025, the fee for the FBI background
check will be $12.00 instead of $13.25.

New CHCL applications for individuals 64 years of age and younger will be $87.00.*

New CHCL applications for individuals 65 years of age and older will be $62.00.*

New Military CHCL applications will be $37.00.*

Transfer CHCL applications will be $72.00.

*A processing fee for credit card payment is collected by INA.

The website will also have the most up-to-date instruction sheets, including the fee changes, as of January 1, 2025. See website:

After January 1, 2025, any mailed-in or walked-in CHCL application that does not have the correct amount will be returned.

The fee for CHCL renewal applications will not be affected by this change and will remain the same.
