One conversation could make all the difference. 💗

We spend a lot of time preparing for everyday life—but how often do we prepare for the unexpected?

One simple step you can take today is creating a family safe phrase.

A safe phrase is a word or sentence that lets someone you trust know you need help without alerting the person you’re with.

It can be helpful in situations like:
🩷 Feeling uncomfortable on a date.
🩷 Thinking someone may be following you.
🩷 Needing a trusted friend or family member to call you with an “emergency.”
🩷 Helping a child verify that the adult picking them up was actually sent by you.

Preparing doesn’t mean living in fear.

It means having a plan so you can respond with confidence if an unexpected situation arises.

I believe God gives us wisdom, and taking simple steps to prepare is one way we can be good stewards of the lives He’s entrusted to us.

🤍 Do you have a family safe word or phrase? If so, was it something you planned ahead of time, or is this giving you an idea for the future?

✨ Healing isn’t about pretending the past never happened.

It’s about refusing to let the past decide who you become.

For a long time, I thought healing meant forgetting.

I’ve learned it actually means growing.

It means choosing peace over panic.

✨ Wisdom over fear.

💗 Purpose over pain.

Little by little, God can transform what once wounded you into something that helps someone else.

No matter what season you’re in today, keep taking the next step.

Healing isn’t always fast—but every step forward matters.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

You don’t have to believe every thought you think.

One of the biggest shifts in my healing journey wasn’t just overcoming my past—it was recognizing that not every thought deserved my agreement.

I also had to recognize the words and labels I had accepted from other people.

Somewhere along the way, I started believing things about myself that God never said.

That I wasn’t enough.

That I was too broken.

That my past would always define my future.

That I would never truly change.

But God’s Word told a different story.

Healing wasn’t just about recovering from what happened to me.

It was about renewing my mind and learning to see myself through God’s eyes instead of the opinions, labels, and lies I had believed for so long.

The more I filled my mind with His truth, the more my life began to change.

Because what we agree with shapes how we live.

If you’re struggling today, I want to encourage you to ask yourself one simple question:

What does God say about me?

His truth will always be greater than your fear, your past, or anyone else’s opinion.

🤍 What truth from God’s Word has helped change the way you see yourself?

✨ Monday Mindset Check ✨

Before you start your day, ask yourself…

🩷 Am I aware of my surroundings?

🔋 Is my phone charged?

🔑 Do I know where my keys are?

🛡️ Do I have my everyday safety tools?

🙏 Have I invited God into my day?

Preparedness isn’t about fear.

It’s about creating simple habits that help you walk with confidence, wisdom, and peace.

💗 Wishing you a safe and blessed week ahead!

🤍 Some Sundays remind us that healing isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it’s sitting quietly in God’s presence.

Sometimes it’s laying down burdens you’ve been carrying for far too long.

Sometimes it’s simply remembering that you don’t have to walk through life alone.

At Purposed To Protect, I believe protection isn’t only about the tools we carry—it’s also about protecting our hearts, our minds, and our peace.

Whether you’re healing, preparing, or simply taking a moment to breathe today, my prayer is that you experience God’s comfort, wisdom, and strength for the week ahead.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
— Deuteronomy 31:8

🤍 Wishing you a peaceful Sunday.

You’re leaving the store after shopping…

As you’re walking to your car, you notice someone lingering a few rows away. They haven’t approached you, but something about the situation doesn’t feel right.

🤔 What would you do?

1️⃣ Keep walking while paying close attention.

2️⃣ Go back inside the store and ask for an es**rt.

3️⃣ Call someone while walking to your car.

4️⃣ Trust your instincts and do something else.

👇🏼 Share your answer in the comments.

💗 I’ll explain the safest response later today—and why it matters.

One of the biggest misconceptions about personal safety is that being prepared means you’re living in fear.

I don’t believe that at all.

I believe preparedness is an act of stewardship.

Just like we wear seatbelts…
Lock our doors…
Carry insurance…
Or keep a first aid kit nearby…

Preparing doesn’t mean we expect something bad to happen.

It simply means we value the life God has entrusted to us.

At Purposed To Protect, my goal has never been to create fear.

It’s to help women and families grow in wisdom, confidence, and preparedness.

Because being prepared isn’t about expecting the worst…

It’s about being ready while living in peace.

🤍 Tomorrow I’ll be sharing several of my favorite everyday safety tools as I make room for some exciting new arrivals. I can’t wait to show you what’s available!

🛡️ Yesterday we talked about staging your vehicle and keeping your safety tools within reach.

One of the questions I get asked is what I personally recommend carrying. This is one of my favorites.

The Missing the Point™ Stun Device is:

✔️ Compact and easy to carry
🔋 USB rechargeable
🔦 Built-in flashlight
🛡️ Designed to fit easily in your purse, backpack, or vehicle

💗 I currently have ONE of each color available:
🩵 Teal
🩷 Pink
💜 Purple
🖤 Black

✨ $25 each

Once these are gone, I won’t have this design available anymore.

📩 If you’d like to reserve one or have questions, send me a message! I’d be happy to help you find the safety tools that best fit your lifestyle.

🚗 A quick safety reminder for today…

Having personal safety tools is important, but where you keep them matters just as much.

If your pepper spray or other safety item is buried at the bottom of your purse or tucked away where you can’t reach it quickly, it may not be there when you need it most.

I love this graphic because it shares a few simple ways to think ahead and stage your vehicle for safety.

Prepared doesn’t mean paranoid.

It means giving yourself the best opportunity to respond if something unexpected happens.

💬 What’s one safety habit you’ve added to your daily routine?

🩷 Tomorrow I’ll be sharing one of my favorite safety tools that’s perfect for keeping within reach in your vehicle.
