At the same time, they learn ways of moving their body naturally and efficiently in leaping, tumbling and special walking and climbing skills. Unlike most martial arts training at the Temple Bujinkan Dōjō is conducted in a friendly and noncompetitive atmosphere. Under the guidance of black belt instructors, students train together, assisting each other in learning the techniques. Because Bujinkan Budô Taijutsu relies on naturally efficient body movement rather than strength or speed to overcome an attacker, the training is safe, stimulating, and accessible to any adult regardless of age, physical condition or previous martial art experience. Training at the Temple Bujinkan Dōjō is under the mentorship of George Russell. Russell trains extensively with other Bujinkan Budô Taijutsu instructors throughout the United States and Japan.
