Woodmont Charter School and Excelsior Prep Charter School of Tampa invite you to a special Meet & Greet and Q&A Session!
Families are encouraged to join us for an evening designed to help you connect with our leadership team and learn more about Excelsior. This event is a great opportunity to build strong relationships, ask questions, and gain insight into our school community.

Woodmont Charter School is excited to celebrate Black History Spirit Week from February 23rd–27th! Throughout the week, students and staff are invited to participate in themed days that honor Black history, culture, achievements, and pride. Each day offers a fun and meaningful way to learn, reflect, and show unity as a school community.

📅 Monday, February 23rd — 70’s Afros and 2000’s Boots
Kick off the week by stepping into history with style! Students can dress in 70’s-inspired afros, bell-bottoms, or 2000’s‑style boots to represent the decade of their choice. This day celebrates the cultural influence and expressive fashion eras shaped by Black music and creativity.

📅 Tuesday, February 24th — Black Out Day
On Black Out Day, everyone is encouraged to wear all black to symbolize unity and strength. This collective visual statement reinforces solidarity and pride throughout the school campus.

📅 Wednesday, February 25th — Black Excellence Day
Students can come dressed as an influential Black leader, artist, scientist, or activist—past or present. This day highlights the accomplishments and lasting impact of Black trailblazers whose contributions continue to shape our world. It’s a great opportunity for students to learn about inspiring individuals and embody their legacy for a day.

📅 Thursday, February 26th — Wear Red, Black & Green
Wear red, black, green, and gold to honor the Pan‑African flag and celebrate African heritage. The colors represent unity, pride, and the rich cultural roots shared throughout the African diaspora.

📅 Friday, February 27th — HBCU or 90’s Clothing
Close out the week by wearing apparel from Historically Black Colleges and Universities or by dressing in classic 90’s attire. This day promotes higher education awareness while also recognizing the cultural influence of the 1990s on Black music, fashion, and media.
