On this occasion the organizing committee welcomes new critical and interdisciplinary approaches to cultural production (literature, film, visual art, music, and relat
ed areas.) This may include, but is not limited to: Cultural Studies; Social Justice; Sociology and Anthropology; Discourse of Power and Authority; Digital Storytelling; Myth; Folklore; Political Science; Film Studies; Sports; Feminisms; Queer Studies; Postcolonialism; Nationalism; (Post) Structuralism; Transoceanic Studies; and Urban Studies; among others. We welcome critical work from multiple genres: literature, chronicle, film, theater, music, graphic novel, comic, television, etc. Keynote Speaker:

The organizing committee will consider papers in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Papers must be no longer than 8 pages as each presenter will be limited to 20 minutes. January 25, 2013

All abstracts must be 250 words maximum in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. Please submit the title of paper/panel, name of presenter, university affiliation, contact information and a brief curriculum. Please confirm your attendance before January 18th, 2013 by email, or by postal service to the following address:
