Being a student coordinator primarily involves presenting SDC original workshops on topics such as conflict management, culture, identity, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ and gender equality. Our team also works together to develop new workshops and keep our content up-to-date, requiring social awareness and collaboration. We present to groups of all sizes and including student organizations, faculty, and classes.

Today, we're excited to present Everyday Sexism.

In this workshop, we'll examine the impact of gender on interpersonal interactions and identify methods for promoting gender equity and inclusion in social and professional spaces.

Today's workshop is Navigating the Rainbow of Inclusion.

In this workshop, we explore the intersectionality of s*x, gender and s*xuality as components of identity while identifying strategies to move through the continuum of tolerance, acceptance, respect, and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community at ASU & beyond.

We're excited to present Essential Skills for Managing Conflict today.

Conflict is inevitable! In this workshop, participants examine their own conflict style and the styles of others to develop effective strategies for successful conflict resolution and interpersonal communication.

Today we're presenting Grow Your Spaces: Intercultural Conversation.

Exploring generalizations vs stereotypes, micro-aggressions and other barriers to intercultural communication, this workshop offers strategies for effective, respectful and inclusive communication between members of different cultures (this is a follow up to the workshop we did yesterday, Same Spaces/Different Faces).

Sun Devil Civility is excited to present Same Spaces Different Faces today from 3:00-4:00PM.

We will be investigating culture formation and how cultural diversity impacts personal and community experience. We will also encourage participants to reflect on the cultures to which they belong while promoting intercultural understanding.
